Timeline

1981

Rooted in craft, born in vision

Founded as Norema Portuguesa – Componentes para a
Construção Civil, Lda, a joint venture between the
Norwegian group Norema A/S and Fábricas Mendes
Godinho, SA. The goal was to elevate Portuguese platex
using Scandinavian technology to produce furniture.

1995

Norema acquires 100% of the capital

This marked a turning point for the company. With full ownership consolidated, Norema shifted its focus toward specialized production — concentrating on kitchens and furniture tailored for the Norwegian market.

2000

Tema is born

Through a management buyout backed by UK firm 3i,
Tema, Lda. is founded. The brand expands into modular,
contemporary furniture broadening its product scope
and ambition.

2007

INTRODUCING TEMAHOME

The company rebrands as TemaHome — Iaunching a
new design vision: modern, minimal. and functional
furniture made for every room in the house

2008

NEW BACKING, NEW MOMENTUM​

AICEP Capital Global joins as a major investor. reinforcing
Growth and internationalisation. Most relevant shareholders: Lead
Capital (42,65%). AICEP (35,39%), Gamcal (6,98%),

2009-2010

CERTIFIED TO CARE

TemaHome earns ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:2004
certifications. In 2010. the company transitions to ISO
9001:2008 — reinforcing a commitment to quality and
environmental responsibility

2011

Tomar Becomes Home

The company’s headquarters are officially moved to the
factory in Tomar. TemaHome also closes its Lisbon store,
marking a new phase of centralised operations.

2015-2016

FSC ® certification

TemaHome earns FSC ® certification,
ensuring lhe use of responsibly sourced wood.

2018

PART OF THE MOREAU GROUP

Tema Home is acquired by French group MOREAU SAS.
The company also aligns with updated ISO 90012015
and ISO 14001:2015 standards — further reinforcing
quality and sustainability

2025

A BOLD NEW CHAPTER BEGINS

TemaHome enters a new phase led by two Portuguese
entrepreneurs, Vítor Poças and Vítor Silveira .The new
vision focuses on design excellence, brand clarity.

We are SMETA-audited, ensuring ethical labor practices
and social responsibility. SMETA (Sedex Members Ethical
Trade Audit) is a widely recognized audit methodology. lt
evaluates companies on labor standards, health and safety,
environmental impact and ethics, promoting transparency
and responsible practices across the supply chain.

FSC CERTIFIED FOR RESPONSIBLE FORESTRY

We are also FSC certified, ensuring the wood we use
comes from responsibly managed forests. The FSC
(Forest Stewardship Council) certification promotes
environmentally sound, socially beneficial, and
economically viable forest management worldwide,
helping to protect ecosystems and support communities
